After an extensive home search in our target location, it became evident that finding a ready-made home to fit my clients' needs was challenging. We pivoted to the idea of acquiring a house with great potential and turning it into their dream home. Negotiating a favorable price due to its existing condition, I played a crucial role in helping my clients see the untapped possibilities.

Despite initial reservations about the property's condition, a few home visits allowed me to articulate my vision convincingly. Excitement grew as we envisioned the potential for transformation. Once permits were secured, I brought in my skilled team of tradesmen, and we embarked on a seven-month project.

The scope was extensive, including opening up the hallway, implementing a new stair railing, a complete overhaul of the kitchen, and modifying structural elements to create a stunning open kitchen-family room. We installed new French doors, raised door heights, and reworked the wet bar into a pantry, expanding the kitchen's overall size. Collaborating with a custom cabinet fabricator, we designed a kitchen that could grace the pages of any magazine.

Additional enhancements included new wide-plank flooring, quality painting over existing oak trim and box ceilings, new lighting, custom finish carpentry, a solar tube skylight, and much more. The transformation was remarkable, and at a recent holiday party, guests mistook the house for brand new.

This journey was about more than just a home; it was about crafting a tailored living space. My clients are now ecstatic in their newly transformed home, a testament to the successful culmination of a seven-month project filled with creativity, collaboration, and, above all, satisfaction.

The Punch List:

• Design phase with architect

• Extensive painting throughout including painting out all existing oak trim

• Created new stair railing with vertical black spindles and white oak railing
• Exterior stone repairs at several areas and stucco repair to match at new windows
• Replaced exterior wood damage at trim throughout
• Updated half bathroom in garage
